Just a quick question. Can you read the reflash and save the tune file?? And if yes, can you do a write entire on another Eco with that file, and make it so it's not locked anymore?

And its not the act of reading or writing that its locked, its locked in such a way that HPT cannot determine what the calibration or vehicle it is for.
ok, i'm showing off my stupidity here for a second regarding HPT
What do you mean by "you can read it?" What exactly will HPT read? Would I be able to use HPT to data log when I make passes down the track? or will HPT not show me anything? I'm completely confused on that aspect.

since HPT can't determine what car you have, it certainly won't be able to read any of your sensors and therefore won't be able to log anything

Actually you can datalog cars using the eco GMSC reflash with HPtuners.

Yeah, you can datalog with the eco reflash (as said above), to give some concrete examples, here's some: the ones you can already see of course (Speed, RPM, ECT, Fuel Level), but also quite a few more (in no particular order)...tps, timing advance, knock retard, afr commanded, map, iat, O2 voltage, inj. pulse width, injector duty cycle, short and long term fuel trims, fuel trim cell, trans fluid temp, trans current gear, and a bunch of other stuff. You can also hook up widebands to it and even make custom gauges based on calculations of other guages (such as how the injector duty cycle is calculated). You can also view the information on guages, charts, or histograms (which you can customize all of these).
