I for one hate big bling wheels on jeeps. It just looks tacky.

wtf is this garbage. everyone that buys these wings always manages to put them in such unique places on a vehicle. next, this this is gonna be on someones hood on under the damn car. the owner should be shot so that this thing could be out of its misery

here's more of that jeep.

Personally I think an 18" rim/ 55 profile combo would be a better
choice for a street jeep than going with 20s. 20s on an XJ/ TJ are
blasphemous. I've seen some Cherokees with 20s, and a lift that
looked decent BUT they weren't using a 45 or smaller profile tire
like this TJ. They had a fat set of rubber between the rim and the
concrete. That TJ looks like it has a 30 profile .

but wait. before you pass anymore judgment on this TJ, check
my next post !!! I guarantee it to be "THE WORST JEEP EVER !!!!"

Jeeps are meant to be lifted 9 inches:

Not lowered 9:

i remember seeing that green one probably 3-4 years ago online. Not my style but i thought it looked pretty good just because it was different. The owner probably received death threats from other jeep enthusiasts lol.

personally I would never drop a Wrangler or a Cherokee,
or dress it in 20s, BUT I hate getting flak because I have
no plans to lift my Jeep
. Everyone sounds like a parrot
when I talk about my Cherokee... its always the same
one-liner repeated over and over again "you should lift it.
you should lift it ..."

I always liked the Classic Cherokee more than the grand;
My goal is to add some of those creature comforts into
the XJ platform. I already added an auto dimming mirror
out of a grand... heated leather (hard to find on plain XJs)
and other such goodies. I hate to call my project a street
jeep because that sounds lame, and draws instant boos
and hisses from Jeep fanatics. All I'm trying to do is add
some Daimler into my Daimler Chrysler (aka: add a few
refinements).

I just bought a set of 255/55/R18 Pirelli Scorpion Zeros,
and I'm in the middle of picking out just the right 18" rim.
I have absolutely no plans to disrespect my Jeep with
something stupid like the jeeps posted above, but I its a
tough vehicle to modify. On the one hand, you have a
group of off-road fanatics that refuse to talk to you if you
didn't lift your ride; on the other hand you have a bunch of
dumb kids that modify their Jeeps into the disasters you
see above -- It ruins it for people like me.

I for one don't care for anyone lowering Jeeps or anything of that nature, but I didn't mind that pink CJ at the end of the page.

Have a good one,
Justin

one of my managers at Advance has a 05 Grand Cherokee with 20's on it... it looks seriously good. plus it has a Hemi with Flowmasters (no, he doesn't sell crack, he has a full-time job as a sales rep)

I'll take a picture the next time he brings it to work

A jeep with air ride?
Re: Poor Jeeps
Wednesday, December 07, 2005 2:47 PM
i like this jeep on 20's

Re: Poor Jeeps

^^ I think that Jeep looks awesome, but here's the problem:
that jeep will never see a trail. In other words, that wrangler
is no different from my Cherokee (I'm going with 18s/ a thick
55 tire profile, and no lift -- like a landrover LR3 or BMW X5)

. . . however, I bet you top-dollar the owner of that wrangler
would still laugh at me because I didn't lift my XJ (even tho
their lifted TJ is essentially a street truck). I don't know, but
I found more love when I owned my j-body than when I own
my Jeep.

RE: Grand Cherokees. As far as I'm concerned, there is no
unspoken rule how people should modify them. You'll rarely
see people cry foul when they see one on 20s with a drop.

the orange one with the chrome would have to be the pick of the litter, that one actually isn't to bad, it would look better if they left the body and everythign liek that but raised it with huge tires (not wheels)

If I am correct, the owner of that Jeep above posted on the Jeep Forum a couple months ago. He has those wheels and tires for the street and another set of 15" wheels with 35's that he puts on when he goes off-roading. I'll see if I can find the post that he created and post it on here.

Have a good one,
Justin

The orange one with the chrome looks classy. The rims aren't too bad... little big though.
