I noticed that only my pass. side seat slides forward when its leaned forward and my drives seat doesn't. Is this the way they were made?

I use it to my advantage, just tell passengers they all have to load up on the other side.

i've never seen any coupe that didn't do that. its so the passangers can flip the little lever and have enough room. if it didn't slide forward, they'd still have to crawl over the seat.

the passanger seat bracket is designed differntly then the drivers. the drivers bracket is designed to be stronger. so they can only put that feature on the passanger seat.

Bingo, that's what I do too. Except my girl always insists on getting in on the driver's side anyway, haha.

i think he means only with using the arm on the side of the seat, not the one underneath.....just pull the lever and it automacically unlocks and slides

He is talking about the Easy Entry that is on the passenger seat only. Unless you have modified your drivers seat, GM only put this feature on the passenger seat. It is activated when you lift up on the little handle on the lower backside of the seat. It will move the seat all the way to the front of the rails. When the back of the seat is put back to it's normal up right position, you can then push the seat back to it's original position.

Even the Club Cab Ram is like that, my Uncle's 1996 Ram and my Buddy's 1998 Ram both only the Passenger side of the bench slide forward, the driver's side does no such thing.
