any difference.. straight/hump connector

does anyone know if there would be and major difference in a straight silcone connector from a hump style connector (charge pipes).......as far as any major distruptions in air flowing.....i have been planning the route for my piping and i am planning on using 2 hump style connectors to give me some movement when the engine is rocking....(yes i do have mount)..

When you say hump style, do you mean the "reducer" connectors, the ones that go from one size to another size (2 1/2" to 2" or vice versa)?

No, the humps just have a hump in the center, designed so they can flex.

Shouldn't be any major flow differences.

What shifted said... the hump is for flexing when the engine shifts front to back from idle to WOT....

Thats all I needed to now, I didnt know if there was any major difference in the two besides the hump being for flexing.

Thanks guys.....

if they werent so expensive, i woulda used 2 of them...its really the way to go. Any engineered OE system, or high end aftermarket system uses something to account for flex. I highly doubt that using a hump hose instead of a straight would affect anything at all power wise.
