Latest pics of the turbo project

It is nearing completion now all I have to do is pull off the supercharger and mount my HO intake and mock up my charge pipes and downpipe. Its tuff to find time to do this when this is my daily driver.

These are mounted to my mock up engine that will be undergoing a complete rebuild with forged internals. The header and exhaust housing are powdercoated with a special high temp header powdercoat.

T3/T4 50 trim .60 a/r compressor and .48 turbine rebuilt and polished, mounted to a reworked and coated manifold from ebay.

You take your daily driver's engine out to mock stuff up?

Looks sweet though!

If you're talking about the turbo outlet, it's a v-band

lol man you didnt have the supercharger on there for long did you?

oh well if you want more power i can see why you did that...

GM supercharger is still the best supercharged way you can go on these cars (most power and most reliable) but just cant compair to the power of a turbo...hence why i have gone to turbo+s/c'er

nice set up though... i think i am going to have to try and find a place to ceramic coat my turbo like you have yours powdercoated..

You're asking about the v-band right? You can buy them like this:

And then you weld a v-band flange on the downpipe. and clamp it together like this:

my buddy uses that v-band system, really good to work with, and the 'bolts' never rust in

I bought the 2 stainless flanges and clamp from ssautochrome and welded one right to the wastegate housing.
