I want to upgrade to a larger turbo at some point, and the thought of how I would dial in my power delivery once all the bugs were worked out krept into my head. I know cams are a good way to shift power, but more specificly I wanted to discuss the use of changing your AR number. has any one played with 2 or more housings on the same turbo? how noticeable was it when changing ratio's.

Not necessarily. There are housing options that use the same compressor wheel size for certain turbochargers. Like a .60 A/R housing and .70 A/R housing could fit the same wheel. But for the most part people swap to a bigger wheel and compressor housing to match. You'll have to search around and see if it's even possible to do a direct swap. It depends on what parts are available.

Turbine housings are simple to swap as long as their the same trim shaft. I went from a .48 to a .63 and noticed it, will be using an .82 in the future.
Compressor housings are a bit different cause you have to change the wheel and in most cases the backing plate. I went from this..
to this..
Definitely louder spool lol. I had a 7psi spring in my wg and all the extra cfm of air pushed it to about 9-10psi.
