I have a '96 Cav., 2.2L. I've noticed a lot of body roll when I go around corners. I know I probably need new struts, but will a strut bar help with this? I see them all over on Ebay.
I just have factory struts, nothing fancy.
Yes asuming you have it installed correctly.

Stiffening the chassis will almost definitely make a bit of difference, but the question is whether it will be able to notice while riding on otherwise stock suspension. I suspect not, but for the price it's worth a shot. Even on stock struts and springs, a better supporting upgrade for managing body roll would be front and rear anti-sway bars.

No, a strut bar will only stiffen up your structure, it will make your steering more compliant. To reduce body roll, you will need stabilizer/sway bars. New shocks will help too.

^^ what he said
you will notice a difference with the brace , but the car will still wave at people going around corners
being that you said you have a 96 2.2 , there is a good percentage of them that did not come with a sway bar in the front from the factory , so chances are you will need a bar up front also

OK, I guess I'll just skip it & spend the money on new struts then. Thanks.
Ok. I have a 99 Sunfire 2.2L Coupe. I'm a bit foggy on this. But a rear strut bar from a Cav will work on a Sunfire right? Since they're the same build. Thanks

Yes, unless the receiving car is a convertible.
