if i remember right, i think i read that you can just use the 56mm 2.3 butterfly in the 2.4 tb if i bore it out to 56mm
should i do this or just have the machine shop mkae one to fit the overbored tb???

I gave my machine shop a 2.3 and a stock TB, and they bored the stocker to fiftysix mm. They used the 2.3 plate, it bolts right up. They charged me 2 hours shop labor for it.

Why bore out a stock 2.4 TB and use a 2.3 plate. You can bore to a 57m and use a stock Ecote plate. The ecotec plate will fit.

Why don't you call a machine shop and ask what their hourly rate is, and for an estimate?

The 2.3 TB isn't a direct bolt on to the 2.4. The manifold gets in the way. I think you might be able to modify the tb, but I'm not sure. If anyone is wondering, I can check when I get up today.

The swingarm assembly(rotor) hits the back bolt hole. I just grinded down some of the plastic on that area and it clears fine. I didn't even notice the first time on the car, till my S-afc was only reading 62% at WOT , got'er fixed though, anf the mounting hole is still there, incase I want to swap back!
