Imy car is a 4spd auto, and i was wondering if there was a way to change the car, either throuhg transmission or the engine to get it to cruise at about 70mph at 2k rpm. that would be awesome, thank you.

Are you trying to shift your powerband upwards? What exactly is your goal?

Your car cruising higher than 2k has to deal with your transmission and I believe your gearing.

cams and intake will make you rev faster and accelerate quicker, but won't make you run 70mph at a lower rpm

15.891 @ 88 mph stock, still getting @!#$ty launches...

it will shift the power band higher or lower but i now see what he is talking about

shouldve worded the topic different haha. smaller tires will help it run higher rpms

simply sounds like he should get a manual and use 5th gear to cruise at higher speeds...

Both the 97' auto and 04-05 eco's run at 3K rpms at 80 mph. Give or take a couple mph

Hey, speaking of cams, does anyone make them for an auto 2200?

the only way to correctly answer his question , is change the final drive ratio

the trans has a final drive of 3.89(if i remember correctyl) , he would need to change to a 3.4 to drop the cruise rpm to that range

but no one offer any gears for the 4t40/45 , atleast that i know of
