Can you prove it?
The spacer increases the volume of air in the intake plenum (air reserve). So if you need more air in the higher rpms, this would be a cheap fix/help.

i;d get the smaller of the two...
matter of fact if you can get ahold of a 56mm from an old 2.3, that would be sufficient for 80% or more of the mods the avg person on jbo has....
