what exactly did you do to "take your ac off"? Does the blower work at all, does it blow cold, does it blow warmish, does it not blow at all but at highway speed warm air comes in at your feet?

No blower speeds at all I am assuming, check your fuses, may have one blown, because it sounds to me like the blower motor isn't working. If the fuses are good, you may have disconnected something you shouldn't have. What all did you do to remove the AC in your car? Did you just pull the AC relay, or did you remove the compressor and put an AC eliminator pulley in it? Did you do anything else besides that?

For heat blower fan not working - check the "Sticky: The "Help! I have no heat!" post " at the top of the Maintenance Forum.

I may be wrong, but the A/C compressor only runs when its turned on, otherwise the pulley freewheels. So unless you race down the strip with the A/C on, I don't see how it could slow you down. But then again, the weight of all the parts WOULD, so yea, I see your point as well.
I second the post from Mike.

Might as well take them off, Cav AC doesn't work when the cars get a few miles on them. Wonder why that is?

because the system would get a leak, the compressor starts going bad or needs more oil, or the system might need more freon or----- ALL @ ONCE!
