try replacing o2 sensor
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
also it is running lean but it doesn't throw a code for the o2 sensor . if that matters

how do you know its running lean?

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
which plugs did u use.. hopefully ac delco?
Check exhaust backpressure.
If an O2 sensor fails you will get a code, if no CEL it isnt your problem.
Backpressure in the exhaust, to much actually will cause sluggish problems.
Not enough fuel can to, check fuel pressure.
Plugs are gapped correctly?

id say its the way you gapped the plugs that made it worse. And as far as sluggish, do you have exhaust leaks, or maybe you should run something like seafoam?
And as far as the plugs go, arnt these the ones?
Part # 41-948 - SPARK PLUG, PLATINUM PLUG
and dont we gap at .060?

called an exhaust back pressure gauge, screws into an O2sensor bung... do it when cold, the ecm won't look for the 02 sensor when the car is cold.

Yeah should below at 1.5psi or belwo, lower is better.
Make sure to rev the engine to say 3500RPM, and watch the gauge. I have seen it before with a Grand Am. It was sluggish above 40mph, turns out exhuast pressure was fine below 40, but when it hit 40mph it was 6PSI, the car couldnt remove what was coming in, cat fell apart and was creating a restrition.
Turns out the cat was shot.
