Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me what the plastic tube seated in the intake piping that goes into the resonator is for, and do I need it? It seems to just make it a hell of a lot harder to remove that tube when I need to.

I did it when I was 16. I had a hell of a time. Now Im disassembling brake systems in a parking lot. We've come a long way haha.
