Auto Eco Track times
Wednesday, April 26, 2006 7:34 PM
Well I just got back from the track for the first time ever to run my car. My best time was 14.827 at 92.89. Temp was 65-68ish pretty nice except for the fairly strong headwind. My buddy usually runs 13.0xx in his Transam pretty consistantly but wasnt about to get under 13.30x for the day. Overall I am pretty satisified with the time, I was hoping for 14.6 but not too bad I guess. The car has the Eco charger, motor mounts, and the Megan Catback. I did also have my intercooler all hooked up and running. Now its time for the full exhaust, intake and 3.0 pulley. I just wanted to see where I started at before bolting more on.

What size is the stock pulley if a 3.0 pulley would be smaller?

this should be in the racing fourm

you gotta be doing something wrong if your only running mid/high 14's

my 2.4 has run a best of 14.38 @ 95 , and that is with less boost , and im sure with drag radials i could get it alot closer to the 13's

being most eco auto's run equal or slightly better than 2.4s , i would have expected to see alot better times from a car with 5psi more boost

post up your whole time slip

im not hating on ya , just saying something is off more so than normal

Any bits of advice are cool with me.
Heres copies of 2 slips
r/t- .495 .583
60- 2.334 2.171
330- 6.288 6.191
1/8- 9.530 9.501
MPH- 75.28 73.79
1000- 12.401 12.434
1/4- 14.827 14.917
MPH- 92.89 91.50

Also if mods would move this to the proper spot thatd be cool.

i didnt see much for mods in your reg

but here is a few things id get (providing you dont already)

larger tb 60mm minimum

make a custom 3" intake , cold air only

shift plus or auto trans

header back exhaust , 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" (im still using 2 1/4" and havent maxed it yet)

adjustable struts , set rear near full stiff , and front soft

better tires for drag racing

your 2.1 60 is pretty decent , id try and work on getting off the line as quick as possible , with as little wheel spin as you can , youll want a little

on mine i have it stalled at 2500rpm , and my foot is flat on the floor , creating a bog when i first take off , it keeps my car from smoking the tires

and mine i shift as close to the rev limiter as possible (6500) , i shift mine manually

ill post a few of my slip later so you can look them over

i try , lol

but with anything , its all a learning curve , each car , track and situation is different

i said that with encriptor(econator) when he was disappointed with his track times , you just gotta relearn

and having more info always helps

elevation at his track could play in too... i'm not sure how much variance there is in different parts of michigan but i know there was a big difference between NJ and the Indy Bash last year for PJ and Mandy's cars... Trap speed was down like 2-3 mph from normal.
