What is the word on this header, I have been interested in getting one for sometime, but I have read somethings on here that say it doesn't come with the b pipe. I would just like to know what header is most recommended for performance as well as cost, because I would love to do DC Header and Exhaust (which isn't out yet) to match my AEM Intake. I am open to any suggestions what-so-ever.
not worth the cost get the pacesetter coated
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
yea... stay away from that header. go with the PS only if coated.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
It will connect to the stock 2nd lower flange. The one that is 4 bolts with the flex joint. For the best bang for the buck i would go with the pacesetter. We have a couple painted in stock and ceramic should be in stock soon.

Would I want to go with the Pacesetter Armor Coated Header then, is that the correct coating you are mentioning above?
Yes correct. Most comparable to the DC Sports one. Just i think a better overall design.

Okay thanks for the input guys, looks like I will definitely be going with the Pacesetter Armor coated headers from what you all have had to say and what I have seen in the past. Just one last thing does anyone know any of the performance numbers for these?
Rough guess top end 5-8 hp and 6-8 lb/ft torque

Yea my guess as well. But it's not just the power aspect. You are looking at a less restrictive exhaust to gain you more potential for other things down the line.

from what I understand tho the pacesetter is a horrid install, the DC Sports is supposed to be a nice clean bolt-on? So you'd save in installation costs.
any opinions?
-Chris
I've done an ECO and a 2.4L PS header install and neither was a "horrid" install.
the dc is easier
cause its a manifold replacement
but the pacesetter isnt hard unless you have a auto , and the reason its hard is you have to wiggle it alittle more cause of the room the auto eats up under the manifold
So basically the pacesetter is cheaper, but much harder to install. I do have a manual transmission though. The DC is easier to install and goes much smoother...and I have read that gains with that are 10-12 hp. I don't know if any of you have them, but if I could get a comparison that would be great.
Anyone have pics of the DC header?

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
ill have pics soon of another dc sport header
i can try to take pics of the g/fs header
you might try a search on ebay for a eco header , there was 1 from a wrecking yard that was on ebay recently
not sure where you heard 10-12 hp from , that is high for a 4cyl
so they are both a direct bolt on, no cutting, welding etc?
-Chris
dc's is the only bolt on
all other headers from all the other companies , require cutting and welding
It appears as if my thoughts have changed and I will be going with the DC Header, although this purchase my not be for a while. The 10-12 hp came from the gravana site in the part description. Anyhow thanks for the input and some pics would be great!
You dont have to cut or weld the Weapon R header I know cuz I have it
you do to bolt it up to the existing exhaust... just like with the pacesetter and the rksport.
there's no flange pre cat for you to just bolt it up to.
i can take a pic of my dc header if u want...might not be great quality cuz i'll have to take it with my phone...and i might need someone to host it for me, or i can just email it to u
