Obviously happens when I turn the wheel. It sounds like it's coming from right behind the wheel in the steering column. I also have an after market wheel on with momo hub.
i had a bearing fall apart in my steering column (tilt) but i don't recall a clicking noise. of course, that was also almost a year ago and i always had the radio on
i have the same problem with my 2005 cavalier. my guess is that the bearings? or whatevers in there are worn.
i remember it was a problem in the older cavaliers. my grandfather had the same problem repaired in his 99 cav, cost him almost $300 at the dealer. im just going to replace the column for $100 at the wreckers, im pretty sure that will fix it.

y'know...i'm really not trying to be an arse here... but i find that my steering wheel makes a clicking noise when i turn too... but its just my keys hitting the column shroud...

Any luck on the replacement?
did it click before you replaced your steering wheel?
Mine makes a sort of whirring sound when its really cold outside, the faster I turn the wheel, the higher pitched and louder it is, but once the heater gets the cab warmed up, it goes away.

Negative. It didn't click right after tho either. I don't think it's that tho because the aftermarket hub and wheel sit right on the steering column like the stock steering wheel would.
maybe you need to lubricate your intermediate steering shaft, gm are kind of prone to that. if you look on this forum a couple of threads above this one there is a step by step on how to lubricate it, its probably one of the easiest and cheapest things i would do first, but thats just my $0.02.
