And? The engine still has pushrodsThere's something to be said about "it works". Just like all the toolboxes who bash GM for keeping the Cobalt as a trailing axle, but the SS is outhandling just about any other stock front drive car out there, IRS or not. I'd much rather have a car with a beam axle that pulls .90G on the skidpad than an IRS car that pulls .80.

Skidpad tests is a mearurement tire adheasion not suspension hardware.

part true....
if both vehicles had the same tires, then grip would also be controlled by suspention hardware

Thats what I've noticed when I saw the video. If I remember corerctly, the GTR was pitter against the Z06 and a Porsche, which it dominated both. Then out comes the ZR-1 Corvette, which is a faster better tuned version of the Z06, and it beats the GT-R.
We''ll have to wait until Nissan bring out the V-Spec model and see how it competes with the ZR-1. =/

Ryan, I'm not saying I wouldn't purchase it, I'm just saying I highly doubt their rated 630 FWHP is all...especially considering they keep stammering about its remarkable gas mileage as well. I have never heard of any modern standard trans perform that poorly.

more explaination into this please? wouldnt suspension and other factors have to play into this. Other wise i could just throw on some nice tires and pull 1.3g in my cherokee. I see where tires play a huge role, but more has to come into play.
