alright guys, i jus wanted to show what i have put together for my turbo plans and i wanna see wut u guys think, maybe somewhere u could save me some money or headache!! by the way im cdn, and prefer to buy most or as much as possible over here!
turbo T3/T4 60ar compressor, .45 ar turbine
exploited racing log manifold
92-95 blazer fuel pump flows at 188lph or 47gph
minimum of 32 pound injectors
fuel rail mounted fuel pressure gauge
johnnyracecar.com intercooler 30"x8"x3"
mandrel 2.5" charge pipes
adjustable FMU 1:1 - 12:1
oil supply lines, return lines, stainless braided
ive read delco plugs gapped between .035 to .030
will be internally wastegated, therefore which boost controller would u recommend, mechanical or electrical?
EGT gauge
IAT gauge
boost gauge
air fuel gauge
thats wut ive got planned so far, jus lookin for some insight, so i can start picking the parts up!
now ive read that injectors tend to shut down app. at 70 psi, so wut would u say a good adjustment would be on the FMU, if i remember rite it works like this
say u have a 12:1 fmu setting, that would increase the fuel 12 psi for every 1 psi of boost, correct me if im wrong, obviously thats to much, say if im running 10psi then that would be sending 120psi of fuel
so for 6 psi of boost wut would recommend my ratio be on the FMU?
thanks anything anyone would like to add, plz lemme know, im willing to everything, this will be on stock internals for now, upgraded internals is next winters project, thanks!
i think you forgot BOV
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
internnaly gated turbos almost always come with a gate
"
Kick azz is my boost hero!!! "
woops forgot the bov, anyone recommend a good one

It's all preference...they do the same job, just don't cheap out on a mechanical (manual) one.

Well not a full write up but just some insight

Get that sucker coated. Jet Hot doesn't charge alot for a coating that can handle 2200 degrees no problem. Tomorrow or so I'll show you pictures of my manifold coated during the install

If you wanted to, you could invest in a Zeitronix Setup and save yourself putting up pillar gauges. Myself, I don't like pillar gauges cause they are a huge target to get stolen around here and it kind of gives away that you have done something...just not my taste but I don't know how you feel about it.
The Zeitronix Setup with Display shows you the EGT, Boost & A/F Ratio...this is what it looks like:

I think the 2.4 guys use Ford Brown Tops but I'm not sure...

Word of advice, contact Aaron @ Turbo Tech Racing and he'll help you with anything of that nature and he'll give you a good price as well on fittings, lines etc. Try and keep away from the "Universal" kits.

If you have trouble finding them you can always go with an inline Walbro fuel pump.
As far as the BOV, you can check out the 1st Gen DSM BOVs, work great and are cheap...like $40 cheap. Go to
www.dsmtuners.com and search the Classifieds for them, they sell them like hot cakes and for cheap. I got the flange, pipe and BOV for $40 shipped from Canada.
I don't know too much about tuning an FMU, sorry.
If you have more questions just ask.

Unfortunately, the only place you can really buy it at is from Zeitronix themselves:

Thanks. Yeah, I know alot of people are tired of the old tired look of pillar gauges so this is a great option. You can mount it basically anywhere (myself, I want to put it right behind my steering wheel) and it keeps a very low profile. Not sure if you can tell but in that picture, it's small...no sure of the actual measurements but I can measure it if you guys want to know.

It's a pipe that the DSM guys would need but you would only need the Flange & the BOV. The guy assumed I owned a DSM lol.

If you want to check out the prices on the Zeitronix system, go to
www.zeitronix.com. I personally bought the full set...expensive yes but think about what you are getting and you'll see why. Here are pictures of it if you haven't seen them:
If you have anymore questions, just hit me up.

jus one, does it come with good instructions for hood up? lol
and actually im also still interested in all ur suggestions for everything i have there, where to buy and so on, thanks
and i looked on summitracing for a fuel pressure gauge, which is it that taps into the fuel rail directly, any links? thank you
Zietronix is definitely one of the best out there. You can get datalogging capabilities with their wideband too and that's going to help greatly when you start tuning. Also, try Road Race Engineering. They're mainly a Mitsubishi tuning shop, but the owner of Zietronix works pretty closely with them.

alright thanks!!
any ideas on the fuel pressure gauge?
im checking out zeitronix rite now
Autometer mechanical works just fine. You can mount it right there at the rail. You can also use an electrical guage to mount on the pillar or something, but it requires a sending unit. But whatever you do, DO NOT mount the mechanical guage inside the car. We like you, and prefer you don't burn up in a fire if the guage or fittings ever leak.

so a mechanical fuel pressure gauge wil have the fitting rite on the back of the gauge already? jus need to drill and tap it?
i checked out the zeitronix, im guessing i want the kit thats 279? and this will measure everything, this mean i wont need any of the gauges like boost, IAT, EGT?

1g DSM BOV (get flange too)
