anyone have a bigger throttle body on their 2200, and if so is it worth it. Noticeable gains or what?

I love mine did the 2.3 ho tb swap. There is a noticable differance but more so once you port and polish the head.

Yes, some gains would be made with the bigger TB, depending on your mods and transmission. They will deifintely be more noticeable with some head work. Look into Hypsy's (Team Vision Racing) GP on the Patriot Performance head. That would be a good combination with what you have listed in your profile and a full (header back) exhaust.

Stick with the HO Swap, its only a 56mm,(i think) which with or without the head port you will feel gain. Also considerably cheeper, but you need to know how to fab it a bit to get it to fit (mine definatly wasnt just 'bolt on')

the 2.3 throttle bodies don't just bolt up. There is a little modding required to do it. I haven't done one so i'm not sure, but the information is on here.

Dunno what you guys are having to do but mine was completely just bolt on and go. The only thing I had to do was clean it up and replace the gasket. No air leaks and all the stock cables worked with just a little bit of rerouting needed.

Yeah the t I did have to do but the cable on mine fit with some pliers and a quick grunt it snapped right into place. I used the 2.3 cable wheel worked just fine for me.

Not to bring alive a dead thread but I have a question and can't find an answer. I would greatly appreciate a link or helpful advice. I have already done all the modding for this to fit and work properly... Well somewhat the only issue I'm have is the pedal feel wich I know is because of the throttle cable. The positioning on my stocker throttle bracket the part that turns the butterfly. Is slighty different in the degree and I can't seem to find proper adjustment one way it's holding the throttle plate open or the way I have it and it is good through low throttle but once I go WOT it seems my pedal is gone and opening too fast maybe. it just doesn't seem like I have as much pedal. By the way this is going from the stocker 02 2200 to the 2.3 tb
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Before the wheel broke on mine, I had the same thing. Its because of the difference in the wheel shape. You can just bore out your stock throttle body to 56mm and use the 2.3 butterfly

Yeah after a while of digging and a helpful link I found your suggestion to be the easiest and most effective way of doing the mod.
Thank you for the advice. headed over to the machine shop now.

Well got the stocker bored but know the issues I was having with the 2.3 tb are gone seems as if the car just "learned" the part but I seem to have lost some top end any ideas. And sorry for the double post.
