cleaning aem filter???

Just curious how the heck are we suposed to clean the aem dry filter?? any help would be awsome..thanks..phil

AEM sells a kit to clean and oil the filter. i believe that it is available at www.aplusperformance.com

no it is the dry filter..says right on it no oil!!!!! its the new one that just came out..phil

did you look on their site ??

i think you just wash it with a cleaner and warm water , then let it dry

Yeah there's a 'how to' video on the site.

No oiling.

Just wash and let dry.

The K&N Filter recharger kit works awesome for all types of filters. It's not expensive either.

I've had my AEM cai for at least 10,000 miles and have never cleaned it. Could only find cleaning instructions on the DRYFLOW filter. Should I use the AEM (oil based) cleaning kit as soon as possible?

Well. It is it the DRFLOW? If it isn't then you can use the kit. Well. Scratch that. You can use the cleaner. But just dont oil it. Or you can get the K&N Filter cleaner. That works really good.
