GM to Launch Largest U.S. Initial Public Offering of 2010 at the NYSE

General Motors Inc., led by its Chief Executive Officer Dan Akerson, will visit the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, November 18 to celebrate the launch of its public offering, in which it raised an estimated $20.1 billion, making it not only the largest U.S. IPO of 2010, but amongst the largest in history. General Motors begins NYSE trading under the ticker symbol “GM” today.

Chief Executive Officer Dan Akerson To Ring The Opening Bell

EVENT:

General Motors Inc., led by its Chief Executive Officer Dan Akerson, will visit the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, November 18 to celebrate the launch of its public offering, in which it raised an estimated $20.1 billion, making it not only the largest U.S. IPO of 2010, but amongst the largest in history. General Motors begins NYSE trading under the ticker symbol “GM” today.

To mark this momentous occasion, Dan Akerson, Chief Executive Officer, General Motors, will ring The Opening Bell.

To mark the beginning of GM’s new era, GM will ring the NYSE Opening Bell with the sound of the horn of its 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS model to coincide with the opening of the NYSE market.

Outside in front of the NYSE building, GM will showcase a line-up of some of its newest models models including the Chevrolet Volt, Cruze and Camaro convertible, Cadillac CTS-V coupe, GMC Sierra HD.

GM CEO Dan Akerson and CFO Chris Liddell will host a media call from 10:00 – 10:30 AMer 18.
