Considering that GM doesn't make the kit anymore and they are very hard to come by he could realistically ask whatever he wants.
That doesn't mean that he would get it, but I bet someone would buy it at that price. It's really not a bad price for a bodykit that fits that well.

GM never made Gary's kit. His is 100% custom/1-off. I would consider his asking price a great deal. I spent close to $1000 on my Tuner kit.
I think nic's question was just that, don't think he was complaining.
