I never liked any of the Sunfire bumpers ,they are short so i'll make mine lower 3¼ inch :

Nice. Less air restriction just kidding. You doing the same to the side skirts and front?
On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

haha no , the goal is to lower the bumper to the same height as the skirts.

Good idea with the extension. Only suggestion would be to leave the wheel opening alone and fill in the missing areas as needed, the opening will not fit the wheel accurately now, assuming you just glass it as is.
Right . I'll see has i go .

I created an illustration, maybe it will save you some time
stock
your modification
retaining stock wheel opening
Notice how the distance from the wheel to bumper is greater in the middle image.
Maybe you were already aware of the difference, either way hopefully it can help someone
Probably my fault. Wasn't trying to be an ass, just hoping to save some time and frustration. Really hoping it gets done though, I have a few ideas similar to this, would be great to follow along.
Hi guys. No not at all my wife left me ,my dog died and my hamster has a cold so i attempted suicide but that didn't work and now i'm handicapped!
Just kidding. Been very busy with 2 jobs , my car broke down so its outside in the snow and its still cold in my basement so i can't work on the bumper. I think i'll rivet the cut lower bumper to my existing one that way i won't have to fabricate and sand so much. I'll post pics here . Thanks Alias for the illustration i'll keep that in mind.

Sounds like a country song in the making.
Should have been stock...
Love it.
Looks good. Your first post with the pics don't show up.
Right but there's no option here to go back and repost them!

I'm liking it. How did you fill the other set of reflector holes? I can still make them out in the first pic, which makes me question.
Definitely a nice mod that gives you more low and still looks clean.
I left the lenses in there ,glued over with liquid resin then put flexible bumper putty over before sanding. The car is being painted as we speak.

That came out sweet. Nice work.
I had my doubts with the stock sized wheels but look really good with the bigger wheels and tires
filling up the space.
