Hello I have a 1998 cavalier sedan and have a losing battle with rust on my quarter panels is it possible to grab a new quarter panel from a newer gen cavalier and put it on or is the size and bolt pattern different?
All 95-05 sedan quarter pa els are the same whether its a cavalier or sunfire. But its not just a matter of bolt on and go. There will be a lot of cutting, welding, and bodywork to do

I will get images of the rust tomorrow due to the fact it's night I cannot take them now
Here is the damage on my Quarter Panels

This is Drivers Side had repaired it then a stupid person ended up hitting my car and taking off leaving her like this

Here is my Passangers side where the main part of the cancer is
mine's starting to look like that too.... Its depressing.
Mine is just a years worth of rust I did the body work last year
bondo said i can put some fiberglass on my rust and sand it down but body shops say I need a whole new quarter panel.
I have tried repairing it so I have been thinking of either replacing it or cutting it out and shaping new metal in
i saw a person on here fix that area by cutting and then welding metal back in and he did a very good job. I Would love to do that but I dont know how to weld that good.
