hi guys, me and my gfs car (04, and 05 Cavalier) has some places where paint peeling off and some surface rust. i was told about rockguard, its a kind of grease or soemthing you can put on bottom of your rockers and say the places bottom of your door where paint chip?
we cant really afford to have them painted quite yet, i was wondering if i can just take some of this rock guard and spray it over these spots, (without sanding down the surface rust spots) if it would protect it from getting worser? and if we did decide to get it painted if it would be hard to remove it and paint it.
and lastly, i was wondering what are the bulb sizes for the backup lights and the trunk light. thanks so much in advance.
If you trap rust between good metal and grease, the good metal is only going to rust quicker. Best thing you can do is not touch anything until you can afford a paint job. A hackjob temporary fix could end up costing you a lot more in the long run. You could use Ospho to take care of the rust and primer and paint over it but I'm sure you don't have a compressor or spray gun to do it the right way.
