does anyone know how to take the piece off where the top conects with the trunk just wanted to get some info b4 i started this new top project????

The black belt line? It's three pieces, all are bolted from the back. Crawl into the backseat and pull the carpet back in the top pit area. There will be bolts and nuts there to remove. Then pull it back, centre piece first.
thanks i thought it bolted on just couldnt remember where they where,, sounds crazt but its been years sense ive had a cav conv.

GM tops are $100 on ebay all day long, got one setting waiting to be installed.
ive seen them on there but was never sure if they were the real thing or not. what seller did you go through and did it end up being a legit GM top?
i would also be interested to see where you got a top for $100. Unless you just mean 1 piece and only in white haha
