Ripped off on toyota mirrors

Anyone know where I can get a right hand mirror? When I stripped everything to paint it became obvious the internal is from an american cavalier and will not fold. If you know anyone with one of these or even a broken one please send them my way.

You do know there are two different kinds, a coupe style and a sedan style. Both have different bolt patterns. I ASSuME that is the problem.

I'm not sure if I completely understand what your saying after re-reading it a few times.....

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately that isn't it. I have to modify the bolt pattern because I have a vert anyway.

When I remove the glass and sail panel the internals, do not have the motor that allow for the folding of the mirrors. I found a seller on ebay who has and extra with what he is selling, hoping he will break it up for me.

The first year of the mirrors were manual folding.

The shape of the JDM and USDM mirrors are different. You should be able to see the difference by looking at them. As far as Ive been told, the internals are not swappable between the USDM and JDM.

I had heard of the manual folding mirrors, but never actually seen any. I have the power folding mirrors, but think I would rather have the manual ones. Any pics?

Well maybe one of my mirrors is early, but I bought folding mirrors. Hopefully I can work it out. Here is the photo

Both Housings have Japanese writing, but you can see the guts on the left have a big black motor for folding and the one on the left, only the spring no motor.

yea you have one manual lol. i know either on ebay or the org some one was selling extra parts for mirrors. and yes you do have to drill new holes for droptops either way lol. sucks.

Yup, there were manual folding mirrors... and lots of them. Surprised this hasn't come up sooner, there were more manual ones put on the Toyota Cavaliers than power ones.

Both of mine were Power Folding but I never wired them and just did it manually.

If they fold at all, they're not American mirrors.

I guess if the american ones fold it means they are broke
