I think it looks
okay for small parts like wings or lips, but I wouldn't do a whole body part with it.
See that's what I'm trying to figure what it'll look loke because its not cf look its basically satin black but weaved, cf is nice I just want something matt not gloss

have you checked out the 3m stuff it is the best quality i have seen in cf vynal
The 3M stuff is the only good looking CF vinyl.
But I agree with Jason.

buy a cf hood, they are like under 200$ used.
1999 - Cavalier - 5speed - Exhaust - 17" rims - carbon fiber hood - the beater
I've been looking for one but mr reeds got to it first and besides I haven't seen too many 03+ hoods, does carbon fiber come in a matt instead of gloss

They have a matte/satin clear coat it could be sprayed with.
The 3m stuff looks good. Put plenty of it on for people. Wouldn't use it myself, I'd rather spend the time and use real c/f to wrap.

A buddy of mine works for Xtreme Graphics in Villa Park Illinois, and he did his roof on his Audi, and it actually looks really good. I wouldnt do a hood or trunk or such because its easy to tell its fake when you open it up, but his roof looks good. And it looks pretty good. But to eash his own.
I was flipping through a fellers catalog today at work and saw that they are now making a lamination for car wrap that has either a carbon fiber look or a diamond plate look to it. Seems kind of weird. Pricey too.

There is/was a tan cav on here some years ago that had a carbon fiber hood, trunk and then laid a carbon fiber roof. Looked good but I don't think it ever got 100% finished. Can't remember, anyways that would be the best way IMO, if you want a flat carbon fiber look it's going to look like carbon fiber that lost its clear and regardless won't look right.
