Not sure which forum I needed to put this in, but I'll try here. Yesterday got in started the car and put it in gear. My DRL indicator starts flashing and I hear this clicking noise from the fuse panel area and it won't stop unless I turn on my parking lights or headlights. High beams and low beams are fine, it's whenever the DRL's are on that I have this problem. Could this be the relay in the fuse panel gone bad or could it be a burned out bulb in one of the headlights? I thought I read that if someone puts in different size bulbs it would do this too? When my car got inspected they changed the left front one so that could be speculation. Just looking for ideas. I think I read something about a resistor on the assembly gone bad? Does anyone have a picture of where this is located at? Thanks
I just got this issue as well in my 99 after doing high/low headlight & fog/high beam mod... I posted in my original thread but haven't gotten an answer there either...
I know the clicking in the dash is the DRL relay switching on and off. I know something has to be triggering the relay to do this, what I don't know. It could be a short in the trigger wire or reversed current or something along those lines... Good luck I hope somebody has better answers.
It means one of ur high beams is burned out. Turn your lights on, make sure you have ur low beams, then click them to high (not the flash to pass they have to be turned on high so the low beams turn off) and see which one is not working. Replace lamp, and call it a day.
yeah, as sneezy said, you got a bulb out.
Any idea on why my DRL's are spazzing out?? I know all my bulbs are good.. Is it just something with that mod causing it do that?
The whole time I was doing the wiring I was just flipping the lights on to check them, never had the car on so I didn't notice if it was happening because of the fogs or the High/Lows...

This appears to be the problem. Instead of it being high beams, it is the low beam lights.
i having a problem right now with mine. i had a 98 and when i turn the lights on the drivers side both the drl and the highlight stay on and its really dim and the passenger side the highlight is normal but the drl is also on. i also am getting the clicking sound in the dash like the blinkers are on.

Sounds like you have the same problem I had. Unfortunately, I was never able to disable my DRLs, because none of wires described in the guides worked. I even tried a few different wires (from wiring schematics) and simply couldn't disable them. All that cutting the wire (as in the guide) does is make the DRLs stay on with your headlights on. Reconnect the wire you cut and it will go back to normal, but you won't be able to disable your DRLs without some other method that hasn't been posted or with access to a TECH-II tool.
i spent all day trying to figure it out something is worn out because it only does this when its raining and its raining right now so something is getting wet and shorting out. they keep saying there is a relay or something behind the bumper and there is nothing on mine.
