Home Depot Lip

I'm considering doing the Home Depot lip mod to my car, since I'm just looking for subtle exterior mods, and I don't exactly have a big budget, but I have a question.

Has anyone ever done the lip all the way around the car? Or at least front/rear bumpers? I know it sounds kind of cheap, but when I think about it, I feel like my Cav would look weird with a black lip on the front and a blue LSS kit everywhere else.

If anyone has, could I get a link to pictures, or have pictures posted, please?

So you have an LSS kit and you still want to do this all the way around??? Either way here's my 2 cents.

I can't think of anyone here who has done it all the way around, but I have seen it on Honda's and similar imports and it looks HORRIBLE. If you do the front bumper properly it looks OK in my opinion. I have been tossing around the idea for my 98 Fire as well. Either way, let me know what you do. I would be curious how you would go about making it look good around your exhaust opening in the rear bumper. If nothing else, you will be out $20 if you go all the way round and hate it. (Just peel it off... possibly return it if you don't hack it up on the sides too much)

There are a few threads on here about proper installation of this mod tho... (Yeah... proper on the home depot lip.. lol)

Make sure if you do like it to screw the lip on, along with the 3M tape. TRUST ME - I have followed a car that had some kind of lip / valance (not home depot lip - but as far as I know debris flying from vehicles is still the same) just taped on and it nearly went thru my windshield. I promptly stopped and called the police... so unless you want a reckless endangerment ticket (that's is what I was told the driver of the other vehicle would get) for not properly securing the thing, SCREWS!!!!

Here's what my front looks like with the home depot lip.
I think it looks good and adds some looks to what it there but everyone has their opinions on it.
Mine is what counts though.

Good luck with your project though.
If it's done right, you won't even know it's a product for doors.
