simple question, does the color-temperature of HID's lie inside the bulb only, or is it a team effort between the bulb and ballast. My situation is: I currently have a 10,000k 9007 35w setup, i am considering a custom projector upgrade, and would switch to a 6,000k D2S. Can just buy a set of D2S bulbs or would i need to buy new ballasts as well since I will be use a different color/temp
no u can use the same ballast. i had 8k in mine then got 12k bulbs and used the ballasts i had no prob.
thanks, do 9007's and D2S's hook up to the ballasts the same way
^Yes, HIDs use a universal connector on both leads.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
i honestly dont know what D2S's are sorry.
thanks guys

D2S is the bulb used in most late model projectors
