Head Light Issue

i am having a small problem.

been running HID's for a while now, well this morning on my way to work i turned on my head lights, after a while the service light comes one... when i got to work i noticed only one head light was one. so i figured ether my ballest or HID bulb was shot.

get home tonight from the second job to take a look at it and here's where it gets fun: i put a regular bulb on the the driver side... the one thats the issue...the regular bulb doesnt turn on, but the pass side HID still works normal. then i put a regular bulb on the pass side and turn the head lights on, now the driver side turns on... but is super dim.

any ideas? can i just jump the wiring from one side to the other to fix the issue? or is that a bad plan?
