Switching Drl to Angel Eyes
Wednesday, July 28, 2010 12:48 PM
I just did a head light mod, so i'd have angel eyes. I would like to have them come on when i turn the car on, and thought that swtiching the DRL to the angel eyes would be perfect? Any suggestions on how i can do this?

Easier way, wire the halos to an ignition on source and done.

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

I had actually tried wiring it into an accessory wire in the cabin, and with my stereo and everything i was drawing to much power. The angel eyes' wouldn't come on nor my amp. Do you know of any other hot wire that i could use and locate easily?
thanks

Use an add-a-fuse and use the wiper fuse.

Or wire the radio accessory wire to a relay and make yourself a switched power rail for future expansion.

Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

Or actually buy a service-manual that has the factory wiring-diagram in it & learn which wires are what running to-&-from the DRL relay. Then pull you under-hood fuse-box (Perhaps the only way!), disconnect or bypass the circuit part leading to the high-beams & run it to the Angel-eyes "on" point (I've never seen them, so I don't know if there's a relay involved with them or not). Project done!

Go beyond the "bolt-on".
