yes it was a head on collision.. i was doing about 40mph. She was my baby but ill probably get a truck or suv now... if the truck i hit was 2 inches taller he wouldve went right over my hood and hit my windshield. whole car went to the yard because everything i customized was inside the car or front end.
Crazy! I can't imagine what it feels like to see that comin' at ya!

It met with a ladder frame, 6000lbs Ford f-250 vs a 2700lbs compact. What's more it was an offset with him going 40 mph. The Cav did good.

dead-on head-on isn't as bad as an offset head-on collision, which looks like this is what happened... did someone cross the yellow line?
I'm really surprised.. that car loved you man cuz it did a great job protecting you.. offset head-on collisions are probably the worst way to get hit in a car other than t-boned.

It took good care of me. I crossed the yellow line so it was my fault. Thanks everyone for the support... im probably going to get an S10 4x4 next.. as much as i love my cavalier i want to be in something bigger for a while lol
Damn. From what I've read, you got lucky! I've been in numerous accidents with a 96 Cavalier and I can say those cars are built like tanks. 5 times, none of them my fault, the car ran like nothing happened. After a while though, it looked pretty beat up. I got rid of it because of its repair bills becoming more than what I can handle. Plus it had 250K.
