Need opinions on painting the side moldings

So Im new here haven't posted much just done a lot of reading. Anyways I have a 2003 cav that I bought for $2000 with 81XXX miles (the reason I bought it) but its the color sand-rift which is not the most popular color so Im trying to change it up a bit. I put on a 95-99 z24 spoiler that I left black because I thought it would look good now Im thinking it would look good with the side moldings and door handles painted gloss back. If I paint them and don't like them I could always remove them but with it being my daily I don't want everybody to door ding the !@#$ out of my car. Could someone maybe do some photoshop for me so I could see what it would look like.

Rims will come soon...I hope

First wrong forum. Should be image manipulation.

Second that will stupid and peiced together with random stuff being black.

I have taken the side moulding off every car I have ever owned and DD'ed them. Never got door dinged, you just have to pay more attention to where and what you park next to.

well Im sorry I thought because it was on the outside of my car so it would belong in Exterior. Im more worried about when Im in my college parking because I dont choose who parks next to me when Im in class and our parking lot is not big to take up multiple spaces.

Scott is on target. Tim just ditch the side moldings. I too had mine on cause I didnt want to get dings being parked at my college but I took advice from people here on the org and I dont regret it. Cavys look wayyyy better without them.

Going to agree with everyone here. Took the side moldings off mine, looks so much better. Besides, painting them black would look kind of dumb on that car. Your cav is in good shape, dont spoil it with color schemes that don't match anything.

If you're afraid of dings, keep them on. However, they will look cheap and lame painted black IMO. Don't be in such a hurry to change your car that you just do the cheapest easiest things you can. Believe everyone here when they say you'll regret it later. Take your time, and save your cash for the meaningful mods, like rims, maybe a drop, a set of side skirts and paint, etc. There's nothing wrong with the color of the car. It will look much better once you add some decent things on it, and you'll be happy that you did it right.

This ^^

Cavy's look better without them by far, but by all means keep them on for your own piece of mind, but please do not paint them black.

Do you want it to look like one of the older base models?
