So I just bought a coupe cavi due to fuel economy for $2500, It's got 120k miles, but it runs fine. body is fine so for the price I paid im even willing to drop another engine/trans in if this one gives up. The only thing that's bothering me right now is that the hood emblem is scratched to s***t, It seems to be made of foam/plastic and I cant find any on ebay. can someone tell me where to get one? I think I've even seen some without it, has anyone done this? if so how should I remove it so i don't damage the paint?
thanks guys any help is appreciated
use fishing line to cut through the 3m tape that hold it in place. move up and down in a sawlike motion (use gloves), when the bowtie is off use ur thumb to rub off the remaining 3m residue and goo gone to clean it up.
Leave it off, looks alot better without the emblem there
fishing line didnt work for me, it just broke, i used a plastic putty knife, then used goo gone to get rid of the residue as well. it worked fine for me, i like the look of the car without emblems. my only complaint is that you cant take the emblems off sunfires

Yeah, I did what this guy did. Putty knife + LOTS of GooGone worked GREAT.
