ok so i'm wondering, do the brackets that go under the lip of the 1/4 panel and up around under the taillight contribute to the "stability" of the bumper? the reason i ask is because i noticed that the outsides of my bumper flap in the wind a bit and i dont have those brackets right now since apparently every JY wants like 150$ for them.. so i'm waiting on my regular parts source to get an 03+ in stock so i can get them for a reasonable price.. but until then i'm just wondering if its something i should worry about, i do have all the push pins in the slots in the actual metal bumper under the cover and that sturdied it up a bit but i still get some flapping.. just wondering how much difference those brackets make for that.

The only difference in the 03+ brackets is the extension that the tail filler clips into, and the lack of that shouldn't give you flex problems at the side of the bumper, it just simply holds the filler section in under the tail lamp.
If you can't find the brackets soon, I think I may an extra set...though I'm sure the shipping would be three times the cost of the brackets, lol
I recently put my LSS Rear on and bought factory brackets and from the Dealer they cost me a total of 58 bucks.
i'm not sure i know what you mean by the wheel wells, it sucks because when i had the body kit installed the guy doing the work trashed alot of parts and i'm only realizing whats missing now as i go back to stock/ish, so i think i might be missing a part somewhere but i am going to go get the brackets next pay day since the first show of the season is coming up and i want the fit and finnish of the car to be at least decent if it cant be all one color

wow your dealer sure wants alot for those!! i paid $18 bucks for mine from the dealer here.
