make your own, cut your stock antenna to desired length and top it off with a rubber wire end cap. instant shorty antenna for very cheap if not free.

If you know how to turn on a grinding wheel, you can make your own. Cut it to the length you want, taper the end. Then with a rag and vice grips, twist off the ball on the end. Install ball on end of tapered antenna, spray can paint. Done. Takes 5-10 minutes
um i don't know if you autozone in Canada, But its 7 bucks, unscrew the stock one and screw on the new one..No cutting required.

yeah just cut your stock one down unless you really want to spend the money... it's not worth it imo.
just put the antenna in a vice and take a hacksaw (or something equivalent) and cut it to desired length. I chose 10" and it looks great.
as for the ball on the stocker... i couldn't get mine off. so i don't have a top on mine.
good luck

Hey fellows, i currently do have my stock attena cut down and the tip grided to a point(like a sharp point, not a good idea, lol) and i have it sprayed black; dont look too bad; i just thought the THICK shorty attenas that are kind of bent backwards may look a tad better; kind of like a RC car look..,lol.....
I will keep it like it is now(wich cost me $0) or i will try canadain tire.....
Thanks very much guys....

pretty sure my antenna is getting shaved all together on whatever car i stick with, i hate the "rc car" look my car has..
www.driftnamiperformance.com
Believe me, shaved is the way i would go if i were getting my car paintted and redone; but i cant afford that at this point; i was running no attena for a few years, i will be b ack to running my shortened oem attena, thanks guys....
I think The rc look is cool; who dont like playing with rc cars,lol...

I still hate the canadian tire limp dick antennas...
The ones we sell now at Canadian Tire aren't limp. They are very well erected.

haha well unless the design has changed or something all it takes is one summer in the hot sun and two trips on the highway and shes limp
I cut mine off at 7" and silver soldered a steel ball bearing to the end. Reception is still good, but I can't get as far away from Rochester as I used to and still listen to Rochester stations.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
There is a reason the antenna is that length. anyone who says they still get the same reception is full of it. The antenna is designed to be the size of the wave length of the channel you are listening to.
I want to chop mine down, but the stock radio already gets such crappy reception it is scary. It is an ugly reason to get sirius I suppose.Another neat idea would be to pick up a front windshield with the antenna in it like the old lumina vans had. About the only good thing those dust buster wannabes had..

Pretty sure no one said that in this thread...
They are originally 14", so cutting them in half at 7" is your best bet for keeping as good of reception as you can and still having a good looking antenna.

it's now the e2 series. much better quality than the previous models.

the reason for my shorty anttena was purely looks, because the radio is on 0.01% of the time in my car. so personally i could care less of the reception
