i recently installed my hid kit in my 05 cavalier and disabled the DRLs but its showing that its stuck on the brights but its not on the brights are not shining and its a bi xenon kit whats the deal i have no idea at this point could it be a relay with the kit thats bad?
Did you disable the DRLs properly?
That's what I would be looking into.
yes cut and grounded the dark blue wire that goes into the bcm
what u need to do is on the blue plug that connects to the factory harness switch the white wire with the blue wire. or maybe the white with the brownish. they are back wards starte with the white n blue switch. we just did this i just not sure which wire white switches with its holding the circuit open so u have the highs on lock. the company they all buy the harness from has it backwards. two min deal will work.
Aright thanks ill try that
Yep. It's not anything you did. J-bodies are just gay like that and the two wires need to be switched around

Order HID's for 9007 headlights, and there you go.

hids are based off the bulb, not the car...
i disabled my DRLs by changing the country in my BCM from US to Mexico... (which gave me two additional RPOs i could enable)
i'd one day like to get the DRLs to work again... but trying to figure out the low resistance code and repairing it has proven to be a pain in the ass...
Changed it from US to Mexico? What did it enable?? How did you do that?
go to a chevy dealer and borrow their Tech 2 Scanner, plug it in, and go to the body control module and set it to Mexico.
sorry and what does that enable
it disables DRLs without having to cutting and splicing and grounding wires it also gives you two additional RPO Code options, i do not know what they are though..
its the brownish and white wire thanks guys

You don't search for HIDs based on your car... search for them based on the bulb... now if you've never replaced your headlight bulbs before, you'll have a hard time putting in HIDs...
9007 is the bulb your car takes... most HID companies want to know 1) What type of bulb? Answer: 9007 . 2) What intensity? Answer: (3k, 5k, 8k, 10k, 12k)
thats it... they are completely universal at that point, as long as you get the size bulb that fits in your head light housing.... Its like going to the part store to buy a replacement headlight... you don't go to shelf and look for bulbs labeled cavalier... you find out that your bulbs are 9007, and go to the shelf looking for a 9007 bulb.
