Does anyone know if they are illegal or has anyone got a ticket for them in wv?
About a week ago a cop told me it was illegal to have anything other than a stock exhaust. lol. It was a friend of my dads so i laughed at him and kinda shrugged it off. The cops around here are soooo stupid! He also told me that anything but stock sound system is illegal.
I have no problem going to court to show the cops how dumb they are(im not trying to sound hard but these cops really are stupid) but i just wanna be sure that its not illegal to tint the tails and that i could prove it.

I have never got a ticket in my county but... i did get nailed in clarksburg years ago going to the mall when i had my cavalier. It all depends on how they see it i guess. I not telling you they are legal/illegal never have checked.
soooo tinted tails or carbon fiber ebay tails?
Stock or Toyo. If you do shows, I'd leave the stockers in but tint another set so you have them. That's what I'm doing since I just got a warning from FHP for mine
Ive had tinted tails when i had my 99 sunfire sedan, never got told about it, and had plenty of cops behind me in traffic and nothing was said, but it depends on the cop and what kind of day he/she is having I guess.
yeah most likely one of those things where its illegal, but overlooked unless the cop is bored or pissed. and yes, most things are technically illegal here. i once was refused an inspection sticker because--and i sh!t you not--i had colored bulbs in my dome lights and trunk. yes, they checked them both. yes, its complete bs. so just go to the library and look up the laws and youll see the cop is probably correct.

there are tons of people in parkersburg with tinted lights, my old buddy even had his headlights tinted and he never got busted, really just depends on the cop and like ben said whether hes bored or pissed, or if ur doing something stupid lol
