I was thinking about possibly swapping out my '04 trunk to the '00-'02 style trunk with those tails.. The trunks are all the same size right? so then I would just need the trunk lid and the outer tails and should be good to go?
Does anyone know if there was a '00-'02 model cavalier with the Sunburst Orange color? I doubt it as I have never seen one..

All 95-05 cavs and 95-02 sunfire sedans have the same trunk lid(with the exception of the holes for the taillights on 03-05 cavs and sunfire sedans). My whole swap only cost me $300(trunk, spoiler, taillights, and paint).

so you used a lid off of a sunfire? alright, but are the tails on the trunk the same between the two cars? I've never really looked at sunfires to be able to tell.
How much was it for your paint job? I might be able to find a lid in a junkyard for pretty cheap.

Sunfire coupes wont work, but a sunfire sedan(4-door) is basically a sedan cav with sunfire parts.
My trunk was ~$40 from the junkyard, spoiler was $100, and paint was $150.
Or you could pick up a CF trunk for a 95-02 cav...

A CF trunk would be a pretty penny, wouldn't it? I think I'll just search the junk yards next weekend and see what turns up.
oh, i was thinking... I don't know if the '00-'02 style trunk would go good with a '03-'05 ls sport bumper set up? I don't the bumpers yet but i would like to in order to get the ground effects look. Also what about the '03'-'05 ls sport spoiler? I would probably have to go with the '00-'02 style as i have never seen a new spoiler on the older years model...

sunburst orange was started in 2004. so u looking at paint. trunk fits perfect just remember to switch your lock over. the tails bolt right in and use same sockets and all.spoiler should bolt right in. i know new holes were needed when going from 95-99spoiler to 2000-2002 spoiler. cant say for sure on 00-02 swap to 03-04. get a spoilerless lid and add the wing when in paint easy enough. check photo/media plenty of cavs with the ls bumpers and 00-02 lids/tails

And Phewes is has pics of his cav with the 03-05 spoiler on a 95-02 trunk.
