2004 Cavalier manual driver's mirror replacement

Hi All,
A few things. The wife came back from getting the car washed and the gas station wash broke some "guide channel" inside the mirror. I was able to get the piece by flexing open the housing.

Can it be glued back on, it's a really clean break. Maybe jb-weld or epoxy? Or should I just buy a replacement set?

Also, how would I go about replacing the housing? I'm guessing there's bolts/screw on the inside of the car. Do I have to remove the door panel to get to them?

I found a housing with mirror on ebay, but it says the mirrors is scratched. Is it easy to swap mirrors from one housing to another?

Lastly, does anyone have a driver's housing with mirror they want to sell for cheap? I'm currently unemployed and even with 20 years in the IT network managment field keep getting the "you're over-qualified" comment (they can't come out and say "we can pay someone half your age half what you expect even though they don't have a clue").

Many, Many thanks for all the help.

Just thought of something. How hard would it be to convert to a power driver's mirror? I don't even know where the control is.
