Bought a new front lip off of eBay for dirt cheap,$175.00 Shipped.
I have it drying at the moment, but looking for help on the install.
I have no clips to hold it to the bumper, and GM wants $3+ just for one clip,so anybody got a way to install this lip?
Thanks.
i would screw it in... those clips break off so easy.
I was thinking that, but the sides of the lip don't have alot of meat to screw into,i mean i could do the front and the very ends.
So looking for other options before i screw something up.
make your own clips/brackets to hold it up, thats what i did.
What did you make your clips out of?
I have no idea what the clips look like.
Heres how i did mine, just a peice of steel bent up with a bolt.
Total cost for 20 of them... $5. lol
Ok that gives me a better idea now.
Chesta717 do you have any pics of the factory pieces?
I'm gonna thumb around the garage and see if i can rig something up like yours.
unfortnately i dont have any factory clips, they want $7 for them here in canada. LOL @ that, not happening. my cars a 2000 so i didnt come with any lips, ive added them all myself using those homemade ones
OK thanks for the help.
I found some cheesy push in clips thingy s but they were to small.
Guess I'll keep looking unless somebody comes up with a better idea.
as a temp fix for when i had one. i used zip ties!

I need some type wedge.
I dunno i may break down and buy the factory clips.
those will just fall off or get ripped off.. you need to screw the lip down. just got to your local hardware place and look for a nice screw that will screw into a metal retainer. kinda like how the fender liners do.
Well I'd like to use clips and maybe secure the front of the lip with some self tappers.
That ought to hold it on pretty good.I really don't see how anybody can screw on the sides of the lip tho
It doesn't have much plastic to screw into.I had thought of two sided tape, but that's just a weak link in my book.
I may go to home depot and see if i can rig something up like chesta 717 did.
mould it with 2 part epoxy (like lord fuser)
looks so much better....
i always liked the one piece look of the 03 + LSS ... and the fuser was like 40 bucks...

not bad, but the passenger side headlight is crooked as hell. That wrecks it for me...

You might try emailing him to see if he can get you one.
thanks a lot! good luck with mounting yours! my car is the 02 sport and has the holes in the bumpers for the clips and looks stupid without it. whoever had the car before me took it off
Thanks, yeah i think I'm just gonna spend the money and buy the clips, and screw it on to.
Good luck hunting, hope you find one soon.
