Sorry if this has been posted before, tried searching, and just find posts about toyo tails, or making led tail lights. Has anybody here purchased these? Any problems with quality/fitment. I think these would look pretty good on my black z24.
i have heard of quality issues with the leds.
as in some dont light up out of the box.
I've had pretty good experience with ebay tail lights. I got one set which my brother broke one when I let him put them in...but they had worked and fit perfectly. Then I got another set, and I'm pretty sure its from the same company you were looking at, and they worked and fit perfectly. Only thing I had to do was swap the factory rubber mounts onto them because the ones that they included didn't fit right. But I never tried the l.e.d.'s. Those might not work as great, but I have seen a lot of l.e.d. styles cheap, they are actually cheaper to make

1)quality issues = bad, not what I was looking to hear...
2)Not really interested in toyotails, sure they are better than stock, and look good on cavs, but they would look out of place on mine imo. My markers are clear (only small yellow reflector), and so are my turn signals and fogs, my headlights are the one peice halo projectors, with black housings, so I want some tailights with black housings aswell. I've seen some black housed altezzas, but, they're altezzas... enough said lol.
3)which tail lights are you refering to that you had good experiences with? I would rather pick these up at a store, but I've never seen lights like these anywhere other than ebay.
May just suck it up and make my own, don't really want to because I can see myself getting Reeeaaaalllly frustrated (small wires annoy me), but atleast I will know they work properly. Has anybody posted a good how-to led tails? I've seen some posts that had some info, but nothing really detailed... guess I'll search, but a link would be appreciated
you wont find a good how to for led work here, but they are out there.
I have heard the same fitment issue with the rubber as well. Another option you could do, is get the ebay taillights, then replace the led and circuitry in them with quality pieces and work. Materials should be under $30 to put in good leds and resistors, etc.
look ok too me... i could live without the chrome round piece though...

I bought a set that didn't have the altezza internals off of ebay, and they work great. Had them about two months now with no issues whatsoever, just checked them the other day too.

I'm debating between the tails I posted, and smoked ones tha don't show the chrome,
here.
I think I will just buy the ones I posted first, if they don't work properly, aren't bright enough, etc, I'll swap out al the leds. And I could always tint them, if I decided I would prefer the tails I just posted. It really does suck that there are barely anyoptions for aftermarket tails for our cars. Not many options for headlights either I guess, but atleast they aren't nearly as tacky as chrome altezzas.
altezza's arent that bad..my fake CF tezza's are still strong, Had then for about 8months..
ive had the CF altezzas for 2 years now, still look brand new and no fog yet!
I have the Black Atezzas and I am satisfied with them. Paid 60 bucks shipped. I have heard that the LED's are crappy on the ones you are interested in also.
