How do I remove the front/rear bumpers from my 2003 Cavalier, I am trying to install my body kit but I have no idea where the screws are on the 2003 models.

Also, how do I remove the side strikes from my 03 cavalier on the door? They get in the way of the side skirts so I need to remove them.

For the bumper you need to pull the fender liners and pop off the front emblem bolder to get to the mounting points...makes it easier if you pull the headlights, too. Never looked at my rear so idk.
For the side strikes, I used fishing line and cut the tape with that, then goo gone and a lot of elbow grease to get the glue off. Make sure you re-wax the car afterwards.
thanks for the info but the rear bumper is the thing i really need to get off.

There's bolts in the trunk behind the carpet, and theres pain in the ass bolts in the rear fender well that also have a plastic clip HIDDEN literally.
as i see read this.. and all the other threads, the only thing that comes to mind is. You really need to spend one weekend and just sit there and study your car. on a scale from 1-10 everything you posted, from putting a body kit on to installing neons are at most a 4.
15, 14, 13, 10 and 7mm will be your best friends for life. and there really isnt much more to sockets to a jbody, other then some larger ones.
Back it into a tree. The bumper will eventually fall off.
rofl i didnt get it at first, but now i do...
jbodys are the only decent looking cars that look good once you fix them up...stuff like civics do too, but theres not many cheap cars that look good once you fix them up...i really like that white one you have, but it needs a kit on it...love the wheels and exhaust and taillights though
just go

No, it doesn't need a kit. I DD it all year. Its enough of a snowplow as it is.

I disagree. Theres plenty of decent cheap cars that look good. Its all about the QUALITY of the work you put into it.

Are you trying to say that spray painting a body kit and duct taping underbody lights on are not quality work!?
You sir are crazy! /sarcasm
It's not going to match better just because it's black...and the fact alone that you actually believe that is reason number that this will be a major FAIL. In reality, the black GM used on our cars is a slightly different tone than generic rattle can black...and it WILL be noticeable. Not to mention the texture of rattle can paint/clear is much different than a mixed enamel.
But hey, you know it all, right?

you should shave your handles first with spot puddy.
then paint the doors too.

Here's a thought too, when you put the body kit on, don't even bother with unimportant things like bolts and screws, just duct tape it on so it matches the underbodies. It'll be fine hahaha

Spray paint is spray paint it ALL looks the same. Save your money and do it right. Unless you aren't planning on competing with your car and you like the way it looks then do it. But everyone will continue to flame you for spray painting it. Just a heads up. Just remember for the rest of your life from here on out. Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one. And at the end of the day it is ALWAYS YOUR CAR AND YOUR MONEY. Not a single one of these ppl are paying to mod ANY part of it, YOU are. If YOU like it your spending YOUR money on YOUR car not theirs so ignore the bull@!#$.
/end.
Take some pictures of all of the empty rolls of duct tape you have used during your installs. I hope you buy that @!#$ in bulk.
