fog light on with high beams
Sunday, November 15, 2009 7:30 PM
Was looking into the conversion for the fog lights on my cavy.
So today after changing my oil,i wanted to attempt this mod on my car 2002 z, but i have only one relay up front between the bumper and support near the drivers side.
4 Wires 1 brown, 1green/white,1orange,1purple.
So on a 02 which wires do i splice to allow my fogs to stay on when the high beams are on?I really want the fogs to stay on with both beams, not so much with the running lights,i can use the switch for that and lows to.
In the write up it said to cut a black wire, which i have none and i also don't have the second relay,so I'm guessing the wiring was changed since that write up was written?
Can anybody point me in the right direction? thanks.

Why not just hook em up to a separate switch all together instead of the stock one so that when you want em on theyre on whether the highbeams are on or not.

Sounds good,i did find something in the FAQ section of this forum, but it was so choppy between this mod and the drl disable it was hard to tell what was what.
To bad it isn't as easy as the 99 models, but i may mess with it sooner or later.

Here's an excellent article on how to do this.
Works great if it's what you're wanting to do.
Good luck and hope that it answers your question.

Wiring should be similar but then again with a single bulb with two filaments in the bulb, one for high, and one for low, may be some slight differences.
I'd suggest that you use the information supply and get into a Haynes service manual or Chiltons, dig into the wiring schematics, and see what differences there are.
Other than that and in answer to your question, no.

Next time i work on the car, i may crack open the Haynes and see what it says, may have to use a relay like i found in some other posts.
