Hey guys l came across a pair of led tail lights l got off ebay put l'm just curious if anyone knows the the color codes for the 3 way female connector for the tail light?? l tried installing them, but l can't get them to function properly!!! l either get the turn signal working or l get the regular lights working but if you press the brake it doesn't work?? the plug it self has A B C on it so one of them is ground and the others are positive and negative l bought the car for the wife and l'm just fixing it up a little.. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
Take a look at this diagram. I got it from my AllDataDIY account that's for an '03, but should be the same for you.

Okay the way i was wiring it was A,B together and then C which is ground on its own the lights l purchased have a orange and blk wire.. So l figured the orange is positive and the black is negative!!! unless l screwed up and there backwards!! but then again if it was backwards it shouldnt of turned on or worked right?? Thanl=ks for the diagrams!!
how are you trying to wire these up exactly?
are you trying to have the led's be a turn signal, and the regular ulb be brake light or something?
I have heard some not so positive reviews on those tails, frequently that they dont work right and/or some leds are not working out of the box,
well yes l wired them originally so that i can use them as turn signals and regular brake lights but for some strange reason when l connect the A,B wire which is for the turn signal and brake lights to the orange wire of the leds and the C which is blk to the blk wire on the leds l either get the turn and parking lights but no brake light!!! so lm confused l believe l am wiring right but its not working 100% do you know of anyone who installed these and they functioned normal is there a DIY??
I picked up a set from ebay and just wired the led's as running lights with no issues...orange and black wires like yours too. I didn't want to run the extra wires to make them function as turn/brake and actually I'm glad I didn't...I don't think I would've liked them like that.
The turn and brake light signals are on the same wire. The parking lights are on the other wire. In order to get the brake light separate, you have to wire from the turn signal switch or from the 3rd.

right, depending on how you want to wire them up, if you want the leds to be a turn signal, search for a toyo tail DIY instructions. That will tell you how to seperate them.
If you want to run them as parking lights, you should just be able to tap into the parking light wire, and good to go.
l had them wired up first to test it before l fully installed it on the car and and they where working properly what l basically did was tap in to the ground wire (black wire) and the turn/ brake light (yellow wire) and it functioned perfectly So l took off to the auto part store and purchased a pair of red led bulbs but when l went to put them in the socket it didn't fit. So l gave it a little push and no good for some reason they where 2 thick so l put the regular bulbs back on and wouldn't you know it no more parking lights!! So l took it apart again and wired it up and still have no park lights!! The turn signals work and the brake lights work but no parking lights just strange to me!!! l figured maybe by me try to push in the red led light bulb l damaged something in the socket?? or possibly the l burnt out 1 of the filaments in the bulbs??? Or is it possible that l burnt a fuse ???Any clue guys??
Well, I purchased these lights. Wired them up to have the outers to be my running lights and the inners for turn and brake signals. I must say, it looks very nice. Although I do have to make a complaint about the poor quality of these lights. Only after a few weeks of having these lights, some of the LEDs started going out and on one of the outer ones, the whole plastic piece that the LEDs are on came off and is just loose in there. Definately thinking about getting different tails.
If you plan on buying these, prepare for some possible disappointments.
I also purchaced a set of these. What i did is use the LED for the running lights so the LED on the outer and inner lights up and My Brake and turn signals are just as they were before I jsut replaced the bulb with and red LED bulb and it looks great. Although when changing the turn/brake bulbs out to the LED bulb I had to wire in a resister between the 2 wires so it would not blink really fast.
Does this just clip into the factory? just take out the old bulbe and clip this one it?

As long as it is the same part number, i.e. 3057, 1156, or say that it fits for it, then it should work.
