ok so i followed the sticky on how to disable your drl's for a 2000 22000 ohv the reason i decided to do this tonight is because i ordered HID's and i don't want them to always be on well anyways i disabled mine and this happend

car is off and so is my light switch



my lights are on all the time now, even with the switch off ^



this is the splice on the dark blue wire the only one that was on the center of my BCM



and this is my ground




everything is to the book on the how to sticky, any idea why my lights are always on?

it only happend after i grounded the dark blue wire, when its not grounded the drl's are disabled and everything works fine untill i put it into drive, then the lights blink 13 times and then the service light comes on. *not check engine*

is there a fuse or something i need to get rid of or bypass?

See my post in the other thread... did you ground the module side of the wire? Or the other side?

And... are the cases of the HID ballasts connected to ground? Because J-car headlights are constant power... if the case is grounded, the lights could be staying on because of that.

i havn't gotten the hid's yet, i wanted to get everything ready so i could just plug and play

i grounded the side coming into the bcm not the plug in

Yup... ground the plug side. The other end goes to the headlights, which is definitely why they're staying on.

i did that mod when i got my HID's too. but dont have HID no more
mine burnt out, then i ran outta money to buy another set, so the old
headlights are back in it.
