Projector headlights...

I see alot of you have custom projector headlights. I just built a set of my own and they look very similar to the ones that John is building. but I have come across a problem with mine. I cant get the high beams to click on when I click the lever, so all I have are low beams. Can anybody possibly help me with this problem? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dave

If you're using a relay harness with a bulb socket adaptor, try swapping the order of the wires in the socket adaptor until they work correctly.

a little more info would help diagnose the problem.

Ok here are some pics of the projectors when I got them in the box, and a pic of them wired into my car. I switched the wiring in the harness like the instruction book said for 9007 lights and the high beams still wont work. If I switch the high beam wire with the lo beam wire then I just have high beam.

did it come with a relay harness cause my set has a relay for the high/low beams and i had to also switch the outer wires in the blue plug so my lows were in low postion and the highs were highs.

Yeah, you have to keep changing the order of the 3 wires in the blue socket adaptor (not just 2 of them) until they operate correctly. Trust me, the problem is the order of those 3 wires (blue, white, red). Keep trying until they work right (pay no attention to what you believe is Lo & Hi wire, just keep changing. You are usually dealing with GROUND loops for Hi & Lo, so your COMMON wire may be GROUND or it may be 12vdc (+). You can't try to figure out which is (+) HI & which is (+) Lo.

looks like you don't have an isolator on that ballast.....could be the problem.

Wrap them in electrical tape..

Thanks for the info guys, I got them workin I broke out the Haynes repair book and looked at the headlight wiring section. the problem was what bluedriftcavy(a.k.a. wayne) and Sick 99 GT were sayin. Now I have hi and low beam. thanks all for helping to point me back to what I should have checked first.
