or know anywhere where I can have them done or any steps to do it.

Probably start by using the search function. many posts already covering this.
you also need to clarify if you mean "tint" or the "smoked" look. those are different. search both and see what you want to do.

VHT night shade is awesome just use some rubbing alcohol and clean the lights really good and then spray sparing the paint on because they will get dark in no time. After I sprayed the lights they looked not to glossy so I took some clear classic lacquer ( in a spray can) and sprayed them to give them a show car finish they look great I will get a pic up here in a couple days after I wash and wax the 04' cav (from prep to paint to letting them dry about 5 or 6 hours and then back in the car they went)

VHT spray can was 10 dollars. Just make sure to take the lights off the car it made it so much easier to paint!!!

Regular window tinting will not work correctly for tail lights or head lights. There is special film you need to buy.

VHT is another option but it's just get the film since you can take it off with ease.

Here is my 04' Cavi With VentShade headlight covers (Part #37828), and VHT Spray tint on my back tail lights (rubbed twice with rubbing alcohol, sprayed three even coats with lights off the car and yes spray them in one even row or they all will be different shades of black, and then used classic clear spray lacquer to give a shine)

These last two show the lights shining through the tint. In person its very easy to see them, the picture makes it look a little dark.

I ordered mine from pep boys it was in there special order catalogue the brand was VHT and no the clear lacquer does not come with it. It is about 2 or 3 dollars a can. The clear classic lacquer or any clear spray paint ( just test it on something just to make sure it doesnt wrinkle the lens paint) just about will work on the lights and you can pick that up at almost any car store.

looks great man,

I have not had any issues with cops or anything yet. They do dimm the lights slightly but you can still definitely see your brake lights when you step on them.

i can't tell for sure, it must be the glare.
but to be sure, did u tint the 3rd brake light as well?

Yea I tinted the third brake light I pulled the whole thing off the car and sprayed it with everything else. I thought it would look tacky if I sprayed everything else on the back and left the third brake light red all by it self.

...you did the headlights too? Or are those headlight covers?

Re: tinting tailights

those are covers on the headlight from ventshade. I think I am going to return them tho once I get my projector lens in from john ... Plus they hardly allow any light to come through in the front. The VHT Spray for my back lens really worked well and I highly recommend

so really all u do is clean the lights real good with rubbing slcohol, then hold the spray can down and go over all the lights one time steadily 3 times and thats it?
